Turn on the TV
Thanks for letting me stop by your place before my shift. I'd hate to miss my television debut.... turn on the TV!

(Tap the purple pointer over the television set. Swipe the screen to see more.)
Speech Okay.

Great! Starnews is just starting... there I am in the background of the shot! See me jumping up and down?!

Wait... is that your landlord at the door? We should probably go see. (Touch the red exit button on the left to go outside.)
Speech Okay.

Desperate Times

That did the trick! Using that sort of charm will get you what you want... and fast.

Oh! I'm late for work at Starbeans. It's right beside your place. (Swipe the screen to scroll and see more.)
Speech Okay.

Gotta run... I'll catch you later. You should check out your apartment for some rent money.

(The clipboard in the bottom right keeps a list things to do.)
Speech Okay.

Making Ends Meet
Hey! Starbeans are hiring, and I can probably get you a job if you come in and talk to the manager Warren.

It's no acting gig, but it might be a quick way for you to make rent money for now. Come to Starbeans next door!
Speech Okay.

The manager, Warren, is near the back. Good luck!
Speech Thanks!

Looking the Part
Put on your Starbeans uniform and we'll start. (Use the hanger button in the bottom right to change your clothing.)

Speech Okay.

Day Job
Doing tasks for bigger jobs isn't really different, except that now your tasks count toward how well you do on the job.

The key to success is to do as much as you can during the job's time limit. The stars in the bottom left show how well you've done. Ready to start your shift?
Speech Ready!

After shift

You did well for your first shift! I know it's not an acting gig, but you can always take shifts here to earn cash.

Since you're done working, I hear some people are going to a party at Wasted down the street.

Places like that are great for meeting new people and making new contacts. You should check it out!
Speech Okay.

Shortly after Day Job

Hi (Your Name)!
Speech Hi.

Swamped
Hey, (your name)! We're swamped down here at Starbeans. Would you mind coming in for a shift?

Speech Sure...

Starbeans

Hi, (your name)! I can help you if you have questions.
1. Speech Help!
2. Speech No, thanks.

1. Sure thing! What do you want to know more about?
a. Speech Projects...
b. Speech Dating...
c. Speech Friends...
d. Speech Fame and fans...

a.Working on projects like TV shows and movies is the main way to get rich and famous.

The more blue stars you get on a project, the more you'll earn when you're done filming... and the more fans you'll get when it debuts.

Be sure to watch Starnews to see when it will debut... and again later to see how it was received and how many new fans you've earned.
SpeechOkay.

You can get your friends or game contacts to help you with projects by hiring them as co-stars.

Real-world Stardom-playing friends are best, but game contacts are okay. The more famous, the better.

And remember: Game contacts will end their professional relationship with you if you perform poorly on a project with them!

Ask your Game Center friends to join you or log into Facebook in your contacts (your phone in the bottom right).
Speech Okay.

b. At places like restaurants and bars, you can invite people on your contact list to go on a date.

Dates are like projects: The more hearts you collect, the better... you'll get more rewards, and your relationship with your date will improve.

You can even get famous by being seen... or by dating famous people!
Speech Okay.

Your real-world Stardom-playing friends are the best for dates... and the more famous, the better.

Ask your Game Center friends to join you, or log into Facebook your contacts (your phone in the bottom right).

You can always flirt and date game contacts, but they'll break up with you if you go out on a bad date with them!
Speech Okay.

d. Your fame is measured by the number of fans you have; being reported on by Starnews for completing projects...

as well as dating other celebrities and wearing the right clothing will get you more fans. But being a celebrity isn't easy...

To remain famous, you must keep doing projects and, on top of that, you have to do well on your projects.

If you don't do a good job on a project, will lose interest in your work, and you'll lose fans!
